Privacy policy
This policy explains how MINCANA GLOBAL, S.L. processes personal data through somnia.es and its associated corporate channels. The management of bookings and accommodation may involve processing carried out by SOMNIA on behalf of the owners of each property; in such cases, specific information about the controller and the processing will be provided through the corresponding channel.
1. Data controller
MINCANA GLOBAL, S.L. (SOMNIA) · NIF (Tax ID) B44605384 · Carrer de Sa Mar, 20, 07100 Sóller (Illes Balears) · our email address · 971 924 692.
2. Data we process and where it comes from
Depending on the relationship, we may process identification and contact data, information provided in enquiries, contractual and financial information, data relating to properties and bookings, messages, reviews and data included in job applications.
The data comes from the data subjects themselves and, where applicable, from property owners, booking platforms or other parties involved in the relationship. Where data is not obtained directly from the data subject, the required information about its source will be provided in the relevant context.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Enquiries and contact requests, including those from owners: to deal with the request and, where it relates to a possible contract, to take pre-contractual steps at the person's request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Other communications that are not pre-contractual in nature require their legal basis to be determined according to the specific purpose.
Our own contractual relationships: to manage the relationship, provide the contracted services and comply with the applicable legal obligations (Arts. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR, respectively).
Job applications: to receive and assess CVs and manage selection processes requested by the candidate (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Website security and operation: to protect the services and prevent misuse where SOMNIA's legitimate interest in maintaining its security prevails (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), without prejudice to the consent rules applicable to cookies.
Operational communications: to deal with and coordinate matters relating to the provision of services, including via WhatsApp when this channel is used. The legal basis will be that corresponding to the relationship and the specific purpose; these communications do not imply authorisation to send advertising.
Artificial intelligence tools: SOMNIA uses supporting technology tools in tasks relating to reviews, communications, bookings and owners. Some of these uses involve processing personal data. Such processing must be based on the legal basis of the corresponding purpose; where SOMNIA acts on behalf of another controller, it will follow the applicable instructions.
4. Properties and bookings
Depending on each property and service, SOMNIA may process data as controller for its own purposes or as processor on behalf of the owner. The identity of the controller for each operation, its purposes and the applicable information must be provided during the booking process or through the corresponding channel. The mere inclusion of a property on this website does not mean that SOMNIA is the controller for all the associated processing.
5. Recipients and providers
Data may be processed by providers of technology hosting, communications, email, booking management, messaging, operational support, administration and technical support services, including services that use artificial intelligence, where necessary for the corresponding purpose and with the required safeguards.
Data may also be disclosed to public administrations and authorities where there is a legal obligation to do so. Certain booking platforms may act as independent controllers with regard to their own processing. The involvement of each category depends on the specific service and property.
6. International transfers
Some of the technology services used may involve transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area, including operations with access or processing from the United States. Where applicable, the mechanisms provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR will be used.
For certain processing carried out through artificial intelligence services, European Commission standard contractual clauses have been documented. Information on the applicable safeguards and how to obtain a copy of them can be requested by writing to our email address.
7. Retention
Enquiries will be kept for as long as necessary to deal with them and, where applicable, to manage the resulting relationship and any possible liabilities. Contractual documentation will be kept for the duration of the relationship and for the legally required periods. Data processed on behalf of property owners will be kept in accordance with their instructions and the applicable obligations.
What you send through the forms on this website passes through our server only until it is emailed to SOMNIA (14 days at most if something fails), and your IP address is not stored with what you send.
CVs will be kept for the duration of the selection process and for a maximum of one year from receipt, being deleted earlier when they are no longer needed, without prejudice to duly justified retention for possible liabilities.
8. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability where applicable. You may also withdraw your consent where this is the legal basis, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal. To do so, you can write to our email address or to the address given above. If there are reasonable doubts about your identity, proportionate additional information may be requested to verify it.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) (www.aepd.es).
9. Cookies, links and automated decision-making
Information about cookies is provided in the website's cookie policy. Links to third-party platforms and services may lead to environments with their own privacy policies.
The corporate contact forms are not intended to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on data subjects.
10. Updates to this policy
This policy will be reviewed when the processing or the services used change. The Spanish, Catalan and English versions must offer equivalent information. In the event of any linguistic discrepancy, the Spanish version will be taken as the reference, without prejudice to legally recognised rights.
Draft review date: 15 October 2026.
