Michelin Stars in Mallorca

The Roman and Arab presence in Mallorca has left a vast cultural heritage. Palma, Pollentia or Alcudia, still preserve those vestiges that are reflected in the culture, the arts and also in the gastronomy. Mallorca is rich in vegetable crops, cereals, pig breeding and of course, the presence of fish is inevitable. Tradition, like a good menu, includes a great variety of bakery and pastry that represents one of the oldest guilds in Spain. Much of this tradition in the kitchen, has been awarded and selected as one of the best in the world, we do not say so, the Michelin Stars say so. To know these traditional elements, the fusions with modern cuisine, innovation and trends, come on, to know where these gastronomic proposals are, we invite you to whet your appetite with these Four Michelin Stars in Mallorca, to accompany your #ByAlquiliar journey with good cuisine.

Four Michelin Star restaurants in Mallorca

Michelin Stars in Mallorca

  1. The Hotel Castell Son Claret: It is the only gastronomic space in the Balearic Islands with two Michelin stars. A kitchen subjected almost 100% to its local pantry where dishes like the majorica oyster with beet, caviar and pearl; the four seasons of a Majorcan almond; or the glazed veal pavé have been born. The kitchen is in charge of Fernando Pérez Arellano and Itziar Rodríguez, partners for a decade, who define their cuisine as "evolutionary, based on tradition and local products, but adding creativity and lived experiences, framed in an inspiring space". 1 A good start?

  2. Es Molí de'n Bo: For 15 years this restaurant has sought to surprise. Today it is considered the best gourmet in Mallorca 2. A proposal by Tomeu Caldentey Sole who works under the philosophy of offering and carrying out a creative and simple cuisine, always based on Mallorcan gastronomy with a personal vision. How about a venere rice with prawns and mahonese cheese or a cod with almonds and cocoa? Enjoy!

  3. Restaurante Jardín, Puerto Alcúdia: In the north of the island is Macarena de Castro. She is the first female chef in Mallorca to get a star. "We have created a place where you will feel at every moment in Mallorca and where you can immerse yourself in the flavors of its seas, fields, mountains and forests." 3 The best seasonal products are her weapons for cooking and an important surprise factor, you will have to let yourself be seduced by a menu-tasting based on intuition, creativity and attachment to tradition that round off every bite.

  4. Es Racó de's Teix: The breathtaking views over the mountains of Deià make this elegant restaurant a unique experience. It is Leonor Payeras and Josef Sauerschell, who speak to us through their dishes, with a hake in lemon crust or a pigeon breast and foie gras in port sauce. Josef Sauerschell is a pioneer of the gourmet scene, he has been a witness and influence from the 80's to the present day, something that can give us an idea of his cuisine, tradition and experience.

In the 1920s the Michelin Guides launched Michelin Stars. A very popular recognition today for restaurants that stand out in quality, creativity and care of their dishes, and a benchmark for travelers who enjoy the culture of good food, like you. Three stars indicate an exceptional cuisine that in itself justifies the trip, two stars indicate first-class quality in its type of cuisine and one star designates a very good restaurant in its category. Having one or more stars means that it is one of the best restaurants not only in the country, but in the world. At the present time there are about 2,000 gastronomic proposals under this seal, which supposes a great selection of cuisine to discover.
